Canadian bus driver Jesse Rau, above, is a committed Christian … and a blatant liar!

The Calgary transit employee is now in search of a new job after being sacked for posting Nazi-related content on his Facebook page.

The story begins with Rau’s false claim that he was being “forced” to drive a bus decked out in rainbow colours to celebrate this summer’s Calgary’s Pride Week.

Never happened.

The transit authorities said this week in a letter terminating Rau’s employment:

You repeatedly suggested that The City was requiring you to operate the Pride Bus and that you would lose your job if you refused. No one ever asked you to operate the Pride Bus and you were specifically advised that you would not be assigned the Pride Bus as part of your work.

The letter made clear that he was being fired for posting Nazi-related content on his Facebook page.

You identified yourself as a Calgary Transit employee in connection with your Facebook profile page where you have posted Nazi-related content which is abhorrent and contrary to the values The City promotes.

But Rau said his post did not support Nazism, only that he had shown a rainbow flag with a swastika in the centre and the word “homofascism” written on it.

Sounding the “persecuted Christian” horn he said:

If you speak against this, what I call a sexual ideology, you will be destroyed, and that’s what I’ve experienced.

Rau made public his refusal to drive the bus just before the August 28 launch of Pride Week.

He said his work record was good enough for him to be considered for a promotion prior to the controversy which erupted which he expressed his opinion on homosexuality on social media and refused to drive the bus.

Rau said he was ordered to stop posting those views on Facebook and faced a five-hour “interrogation” by his employer before being fired.

During a press conference Friday, Doug Morgan, director of Calgary Transit said he could not comment on specific employee matters but did address the employee code of conduct.

Morgan said when an employee is accused of violating policy, Calgary Transit always holds an investigative meeting and the union gets involved.

Friday, the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 583 confirmed a grievance had been filed on Rau’s behalf.

At the time of his dismissal, Rau was just shy of passing his one-year probation, he said.

Throughout the controversy, Rau has been backed by his pastor, loudmouthed street preacher Artur Pawlowski, above, who’s run afoul of city bylaws.

On a Facebook page calling for public support for Rau, Pawlowski said:

Everyone that wants to stand in solidarity with Jesse Rau and his family is welcome to join a special rally which will be held at City Hall on October 10, 2015 at 12:30 PM.

Anyone interested in helping Jesse Rau with expenses related to job loss and hiring a lawyer can contact Jesse’s pastor Artur Pawlowski who will be working with Jesse on this issue. Alternatively people wanting to hand their financial support to Jesse personally can do so at the October rally.

I will leave you with this thought, yesterday they were coming for the politicians, judges, and doctors today they are coming for the bus drivers, clerks and bakers. Believe me, I grew up in a country like ours has become, and I can tell you tomorrow the communists/fascists/dictators are coming for you. Will you let them?
